New York Festival of Song
New York Festival of Song

Founded by pianists Michael Barrett and Steven Blier in 1988, the New York Festival Of Song continues to produce its series of thematic song programs, drawing together rarely-heard songs of all kinds, overriding traditional distinctions between musical genres, exploring the character and language of other cultures, and the personal voices of song composers and lyricists. On Tuesday, April 24 at Merkin Concert Hall, the New York Festival of Song (NYFOS) celebrates the end of its 30th season with an evening that spans the globe and musical genres, with a cast of astounding, theatrical vocalists. The program will feature performances from Ralph Vaughan Williams (Orpheus With His Lute), Marc Blitzstein (Croon-Spoon), William Bolcom (I Knew a Woman), and many more.
