Each summer the River to River Festival takes over downtown Manhattan for nearly two weeks of performances, exhibitions and events. Highlights of this year’s program include a Rooftop Film screening, an outdoor dance performance by a New York City Ballet principal and a Yoko Ono installation that viewers can paint over. All events are free and open to the public. This year’s festival features acclaimed artists across genres and media, largely focusing on themes of slowing down, stillness, reflecting and imagining. For a full list of the festival’s events, visit the River to River Festival home page.
