In 2017, women walked together in the largest single-day demonstration in U.S. history. Today, women and those who support them continue to march for progress, proudly voicing messages of optimism, empowerment and equality through the powerful signs they carry. In honor of Women’s History Month, the New-York Historical Society and Jane Walker by Johnnie Walker unveil “Signs of Progress, a special installation that explores artistic expression and inspiring messages from the movement. On view through the month of March, this commemorative display features signs preserved from women’s marches across the country.
