The Macy Gallery is part of the Art and Art Education program of the Department of Arts and Humanities at Teachers College, Columbia University. The gallery exhibits art works by national and international artists, graduate students and faculty members, as well as the finest examples of children's works.
The gallery is on the fourth floor of Macy Hall and is open Monday–Friday 11 am–6 pm, and by appointment when an exhibition is on view. Special arrangements can be made for groups to visit the gallery and participate in artists' talks and lectures.
Professional development workshops are available for arts specialists, administrators and classroom teachers interested in integrating visual arts activities across the curriculum. All workshops include slide presentations, art materials for hands-on activities and instructional handouts. Topics include Artistic Growth and Development, Talking with Children About Their Art, Assessing Student Learning in Art, Integrating Arts Across the Curriculum and Literacy.
