The Boomerang Theatre Company offers audiences opportunities to see new, classic and neglected plays in a range of styles and genres. Since its founding in 1999, the company has produced a host of full-length productions, including free Shakespeare as well as staged readings and workshops for schoolchildren.

The Shakespeare Program (grades 6-12) explores a
major play focusing on methods of understanding the text, experimentation
with verse and prose elements, and the exploration of themes as they relate
to students's everyday lives. The simpler, more spontaneous Acting
and Playing Workshop (grades 4-12) allows students to indulge their natural
creative impulses through improvisations that, depending upon the needs of
the curriculum, are sometimes language related.
