Teaching literacy through the arts since 1980, Puppetry in Practice offers professional development, parent workshops and graduate courses for adults in puppetry arts. Its in-school residencies are tailored to each school's needs in book arts, puppetry arts, Chinese folk arts, animation and clowning.
Kids can learn everything from mask-making to animation from artists during in-school residencies. All educational arts programs are tailored to meet the needs of a community. Holiday programs for kids take place at Puppetry in Practice's museum in Mill Basin.
