The Drammeh Institute is an educational and cultural arts media initiative formed in 1993 by independent filmmakers to synergize the talents of a new generation of media makers. Drammeh provides vehicles for development, distribution and serves as a resource for those needing archival footage for their projects addressing social change.

Interest in the moving image is promoted through exhibitions and new media workshops for youth and adults.

Drammeh secures acquisitions and preserves moving images for future study and educational purposes. It also trains project developers how to assemble research around a moving image project, and organizes events to commemorate history-in-the-making through new media.
