Description

Pier 17 is a mixed-use pier that holds shops, eateries, summer arts events and exhibition spaces. The pier extends into the East River and is across the street from the South Street Seaport Museum (a separate entity) and historic buildings that feature an eclectic mix of styles, from the 19th-century Federal rowhouses to neoclassical and Greek Revival-style buildings. Two major exhibits on view at South Street Seaport Pier 17 are Bodies (located at 11 Fulton Street) and Tigers: Tracking a Legend (in the third floor Atrium of the mall complex).
