Description

Gingold Theatrical Group (GTG) presents the monthly reading series Project Shaw at New York’s legendary private club, The Players, at 16 Gramercy Park South.

The Players, which had been the private residence of Edwin Booth, was turned into a club by Mr. Booth and Mark Twain in 1888. The playwright George Bernard Shaw was an honorary member at the venerable theatrical club. David Staller, the artistic director and founder of GTG, does extensive research on Shaw's plays using Shaw's extensive notes, letters and essays. He produces a Monday evening concert-reading format of a Shaw play at the Players on a monthly basis. The popular evening usually features an all-star cast.
