Description

Young Concert Artists was founded in 1961 to discover and launch the careers of brilliant but unknown young classical musicians from all over the world. Each year, the organization holds its International Auditions in New York City and hears hundreds of applicants. The winners are presented in their New York debuts as part of the Young Concert Artists Series.

The list of YCA's discoveries includes some of the most illustrious names in the classical music world today: Pinchas Zukerman, Emanuel Ax, Dawn Upshaw, and Jean-Yves Thibaudet. Music lovers know that each YCA concert offers a special music treat and a unique opportunity to hear a future star.

School/Groups

Each year, artists with the program give a large number of classes, mini-concerts and master classes at schools as part of an outreach program to build new audiences.
