A world of entertainment awaits audiences at the Lehman Center for the Performing Arts, located on the Lehman College campus, part of the City University of New York, near Van Cortlandt Park. Since 1980, the Lehman Center has been presenting performances from around the world in its 2,300-seat concert hall.
Attendance at one or more of the Lehman Center's Young People's Series is a vital part of the school year for thousands of Bronx schoolchildren. Twelve dance, music or theater presentations annually expose children to a wide variety of performers and styles. Some events are complemented by guides, while explanatory programs are available at all performances.
School Admission: Bronx public schools free, others $4 per student
