cultureNOW is a 601(c)3 dedicated to promoting cultural tourism and arts education. cultureNOW believes there are three facets to understanding a place—its built environment (architecture), cultural insertions (art), and history (what happened there). The "museum without walls" utilizes smartphone technology to create an acoustic guide to the city.

cultureNOW tries to demystify the design process in the belief that the public would be more engaged participants if they were better equipped to understand it. To date, there are more than 60 public art collections online making it one of the largest repositories for public art in the country. There are over 10,000 websites represented, with more than 755 podcasts and videos by artists, architects, planners and historians.

cultureNOW won the prize for Best Cultural App of 2011 in the NYC Big Apps 2.0 Contest, and more recently, the National AIA Collaborative Achievement Award. It is a founding partner in Archtober and Architecture Month in New York.
