Since 1974, Creative Time has presented the most innovative art in the public realm. The New York-based nonprofit has worked with over 2,000 artists to produce more than 335 groundbreaking public art projects that have ignited the public's imagination, explored ideas that shape society, and engaged millions of people around the globe.

Each year it presents between five and seven art projects in New York City that reach mass audiences. Some of these are selected through a panel process, while others are commissioned.

Creative Time's public initiatives have included Art on the Plaza, a series of installations on the plaza of the former Ritz-Carlton Hotel, the 59th Minute, a series of artists' videos projected on the Times Square Astrovision screen, performances on Brooklyn streets and light installations on the New York City skyline.
