Guided by guest curator Wanda Corn, NYC-ARTS visits “Georgia O’Keeffe: Living Modern,” on view at the Brooklyn Museum through July 23, 2017. This exhibition takes a new look at how the artist expressed her progressive, independent lifestyle through a self-crafted public persona that included her clothing and the way she posed for the camera.
Between June 1-4 Jazz at Lincoln Center will celebrate the centennial of composer and pianist Thelonious Monk. Some of the artists included in the program: Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra with Wynton Marsalis, Pakistani flutist Baqir Abbas, Brazilian instrumentalist Hamilton de Holanda, piano prodigy Joey Alexander, Sullivan Fortner, Gabe Schnider and Russell Hall.
